The Fleming Museum will reopen to the public on Tuesday, September 3, 2024. Please note that a planned construction project will impact parking near the Museum this fall semester, check out our Directions and Parking page for the most up to date information.

MUSEUM HOURS - FALL 2024  
September 3 - December 6, 2024

  • Tuesday, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
  • Wednesday, 10 a.m. - 7 p.m.
  • Thursday, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
  • Friday, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
  • Saturday, 12 p.m. - 4 p.m.
  • Sunday & Monday - Closed

Museum galleries are closed holiday weekends and during the following UVM recesses: 

  • October 11 – 12, 2024, Closed for Fall Recess
  • November 23 – 30, 2024, Closed for Thanksgiving Recess
  • December 7, 2024 – January 21, 2025, Closed for Winter Recess 

 

ADMISSION

Admission to the Museum is free, though donations are greatly appreciated and allow us to better serve our community and care for our incredible collection. A suggested donation of $5 can be given online or with cash via our donation display located next to the Welcome Desk.

Reservations are not required during our regular visiting hours for individuals or small groups. For larger groups (more than 8) please fill out our Group Visit Form and one of our staff members will reach out to confirm your visit. 

Museum Accessibility

Body

Wheelchair Accessibility: Both entrances are wheelchair accessible and there is an elevator within the Museum that provides access to all galleries and areas open to the public. We also have a wheelchair onsite for visitor use.

Color Blind Eyewear: We are happy to provide Museum guests with a pair of Color Blind glasses to borrow for their visit. Please let a Visitor Services attendant know you'd like a pair when you check in. 

Additional Needs: If you have questions about additional accessibility for your visit, such as an ASL interpreter, access to quiet spaces, etc., please contact the Museum at 802-656-0750 and we will work with you directly. 

Accessibility Parking: Any vehicle displaying a valid accessible placard/license plate may park in a space posted as an accessible space, regular space, or pay-by-app space (without payment). This does not include spaces posted as reserved for specific permit numbers or permit types, electric vehicle charging stations, or spaces reserved by cones or barricades.

Please follow these guidelines to ensure the safety and enjoyment of our guests and collections. 

Awareness: Be aware of your surroundings and note that not all art or objects are protected by glass or partitions. Please do not touch, sit on, or crowd any displayed artworks within the museum.

  • Post and share your experience on social media (Tag us! @flemingmuseumofart)
  • Sketch in the galleries (pencil only)
  • Have fun!

 No, please do not. The following items are not permitted in the Museum...

  • Backpacks or oversized objects
  • Food or beverages (including water bottles)
  • Use of pens, ink, paint, or other permanent writing utensils
  • Tripods or bulky camera equipment, professional photography or videography by appointment only

Open storage is available for items not permitted in the Museum. Guests should not leave valuables unattended.

When you visit the Fleming, you enter an area where photography, audio, and video recording may occur. By entering the premises, you consent to such recording media and its release, publication, exhibition or reproduction for the Museum's promotional purposes.
