From Inspiration to Impact

Meet Lilah Krugman, president of UVM’s Food Recovery Network–a club focused on reclaiming food from dining halls to reduce food waste and improve food security. She also interned with a local organization that promotes local food and agriculture in the Champlain Valley.

Hands On With the Herd 

From vaccinating cows to shoveling their stalls, students in the Cooperative for Real Education in Agricultural Management do it all. The reward? Nearly 100% acceptance rates to vet school for animal science majors involved in C.R.E.A.M. Oh, and a scoop of Catamount Crunch from the Dairy Bar, made from milk produced by the herd.
