Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences

What defines beauty? How do we create a just society? What's our place in the natural world? What is the nature of happiness? Majors across the arts, humanities, and social sciences at UVM explore the big questions.

Our programs also give students real skills and experiences — in labs, internships, study abroad, as well as the classroom — that ready them for careers and leadership positions aimed at finding the best possible answers.
