BIO

Anthony Williams, M.D., serves as assistant dean for admissions in the Office of Medical Student Admissions. A graduate of the University of Rochester School of Medicine & Dentistry, Williams completed a family medicine residency at the UVM Medical Center and joined the UVM faculty in 2016. Based at the UVM Health Network’s Family Medicine–Primary Care office in Colchester, Williams oversees many facets of palliative/end-of-life care. 

Dr. Williams' clinical expertise includes knee, shoulder, and hip injections, as well as skin biopsies. He is a strong advocate for diversity in practice, serving as co-chair of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee and advisor for the Department of Family Medicine. He has presented on social justice, systemic racism, and the African American experience in several grand rounds and regional lectures.
