The UVM Recital Hall is a 300-seat hall which is regarded as one of the most acoustically superb spaces in the state of Vermont. The Recital Hall is located on UVM’s beautiful Redstone Campus on South Prospect Street in Burlington. We present a diverse program that includes classical chamber music, solo piano recitals, choral groups, folk bands, jazz combos, world music ensembles, and everything in between in this intimate, comfortable venue. All seating is general admission.

Directions to the UVM Recital Hall from I-89 – take Exit 14 West to Williston Road/Rt 2 towards Burlington. As Rt 2 bends left at the UVM campus green, merge into the far left hand turn lane and turn left onto South Prospect Street. Immediately after the 2nd stop sign (Cliff Street), turn left onto the Redstone Circle driveway.  The UVM Recital Hall is located at the top of this horseshoe drive. It is a beige, concrete building located immediately to the left of Southwick Music Building (a large brick building with white pillars).

Directions to the UVM Recital Hall from downtown Burlington – travelling east up Main Street hill, turn right onto South Prospect Street.  Immediately beyond the 2nd stop sign (Cliff Street), turn left onto the Redstone Circle driveway. The UVM Recital Hall is located at the top of this horseshoe drive. It is a beige, concrete building located immediately to the left of Southwick Music Building (a large brick building with white pillars).

Convenient evening and weekend parking is available for the UVM Recital Hall in any of the four faculty/staff lots adjoining the Redstone Circle driveway including:

  • Robinson Hall Lot (first lot on your right via Redstone Circle driveway)
  • Music Building Lot (second on your right, this lot adjoins the Recital Hall)
  • The “round tower” lot (a generic, gravel lot beside the Music Building lot, is located directly behind the small, round brick tower)
  • Blundell House/322 S Prospect Lot (third lot on your right via Redstone Circle driveway)

Other evening and weekend parking options within walking distance:

  • South Prospect Street – unmetered city parking is available all along South Prospect Street. Please note: the City of Burlington has re-zoned the parking on South Prospect Street. From Cliff Street north, the parking is for residents only.  From Cliff Street south, parking is still open to the public. Please make sure to always check the signs.
  • Gutterson Parking Garage and University Heights Parking Lots – a short, well-lit walk to the hall. Follow the pedestrian path away from Patrick Gym and toward the blue water tower. The Recital Hall is the small, beige concrete building to the left.

Directions to Gutterson and U Heights Lots from 1-89 – take Exit 14 West to Williston Road/Rt 2 towards Burlington and merge into the right hand lane.  Bear right onto the East Avenue/Spear Street exit, and then immediately bear left across Rt 2 and onto Spear Street. Travel approx. ¼ mile and turn right onto PFC Road. The Gutterson Parking Garage is accessible immediately to your left. For access to any of the faculty/staff lots at University Heights, continue straight on PFC Road to the intersection with University Heights Road. Turn right or left to access evening and weekend parking in any of faculty/staff lots along University Heights Road.

Directions to U Heights Lots from downtown Burlington – Follow Main Street/Rt 2 eastbound, toward UVM campus and past the main green. Turn right onto University Heights Road. Evening and weekend parking is available in any of the faculty/staff lots accessible.

Directions to Gutterson Lot from downtown Burlington – Follow Main Street/Rt 2 eastbound, toward UVM campus and past the main green. Turn right onto Spear Street.  Turn right onto PFC Road. The Gutterson Parking Garage is accessible immediately to your left.

Please Note:

  • Parking in the Redstone Circle is prohibited; you will be ticketed or towed.
  • Authorized parking tags are required for student residence lots or handicapped/tow zones.
  • Parking is available in any UVM lot that is NOT zoned residential or handicapped after 6:00 pm
  • The Lane Series cannot assume responsibility for illegally parked cars on campus.
