What is the UVM Lane Series?
The Lane Series is UVM’s performing arts presenter, serving a wide audience both on-campus and in the Vermont community at large. We present an engaging variety of genres including classical music, early music, folk music, world music, jazz, and theatre in a state-of-the-art, 300-seat listening room with superb acoustics and an intimate vibe. Since its inception in 1955, Lane Series has presented everyone from Simon & Garfunkel and Nina Simone to the likes of Sona Jobarteh and Arooj Aftab.
Our artists, representing a myriad of cultures and musical styles, provide class talks and master classes to students and public alike, fulfilling our dual mission of live, intimate performances and arts education.
What We Present:
- Approximately 12 shows a semester / 24 per year
- A broad range of genres, including folk, pop, global, classical, choral, jazz, new music, and theatre
- Internationally recognized artists from a wide array of cultures, countries, and backgrounds
- Our shows sell out! Around 4,000 patrons come through our doors each year, most of whom are repeat customers, representing a diverse demographic from students to working professionals. We draw from Chittenden County and beyond.
How We Promote:
- Print ads
- Digital marketing on specific sites such as VTDigger, Seven Days
- Radio
- Email marketing (5k+ subscribers)
- Social media (~2k followers across platforms)
- Google Ads
- Brochure (~7k recipients) mailed twice yearly
- Partnerships and co-promotions
What Does Your $1500 Sponsorship Include?
- Your logo in our mailed brochures (one per semester), show programs distributed to all patrons as they enter the hall, on the Lane Series website, on our lobby slideshow which runs before every show, on a standing banner displayed in the lobby, and in all media materials (where available)
- Six complimentary tickets to use in the sponsored semester
- Additional 15% off groups of 10 or more (based on availability)
- Logo, description, and web link included on "Sponsor Thank You" page on our website

Why Should You Support the Lane Series?
- The UVM Lane Series is a non-profit performance art series.
- We are a self-supporting organization within the university and receive no additional contributions from its general funds.

- Create opportunities for interaction between the artists and students and the wider community through master classes, workshops, lectures, and receptions
Your support dollars are:
- Partially tax deductible
- Used to defray direct performance and workshop expenses

The sponsorship amount is $1500. All graphic design, marketing materials, and any other production costs of assets delivered to UVM Lane Series to fulfill the promotional aspects of this agreement are the sole responsibility of the sponsor. UVM Lane Series is not responsible for missed promotional opportunities as a result of late submission of assets.
