The Department of Biomedical and Health Sciences is preparing the next generation of experts who will advance and safeguard the health of individuals and communities through our programs in Medical Laboratory Science, Medical Radiation Sciences, and Public Health Sciences

Our programs provide hands-on clinical practice, internships, fieldwork, and research opportunities in collaboration with expert faculty. Emphasizing practical application, we prepare our students to thrive in professional environments.

Medical Laboratory Science

Students have the opportunity to specialize in either clinical laboratory science or public health laboratory science. With a hands-on practicum at top regional affiliates, real-world experience is unmatched.

Students gain hands-on practice in radiation safety, patient care, and cancer treatment using the Virtual Environment Radiotherapy Trainer, and develop clinical expertise through real-world experience at UVM Medical Center.
