During the week of April 7-11, 2025, the Graduate College will be celebrating National Graduate and Professional Student Appreciation Week.
National Graduate and Professional Student Appreciation Week was started in 1993 by three students who “wanted to find a way to physically manifest support and appreciation of the contributions, impact and value of graduate students.”
Appreciation Week is a chance for us to honor and thank our graduate and professional students for their deeply valued contributions to the UMV community, including through their research, teaching, and professional practice. To celebrate, we are planning events focused on community, wellness, and professional development.
