FSRC Ph.D. Fellow

Hannah Lacasse earned her bachelor's degree in Environmental Policy from Colby College in Waterville, Maine. During her time in undergrad, she researched social seed networks among farmers in East Africa and became interested in studying food and agricultural issues. She received her master's degree in Community Development and Applied Economics from the University of Vermont and is now a PhD Candidate in the Sustainable Development, Policy, Economics, and Governance Program. Throughout her graduate career, Hannah has researched the economic impacts and consumer demand for hemp-based products. Using diverse datasets and a transdisciplinary approach, she explores how consumer values, state and federal policy, and the food environment influence the adoption of hemp and other plant-based products.
