Consulting is a dynamic and intellectually stimulating career that offers the chance to solve complex problems, work with a variety of clients across different industries, and develop a broad set of skills in strategy, scenario planning, technology implementation, and people analytics. This event features a panel discussion and networking session with seasoned consultants and industry leaders who have a wealth of experience in these areas. 

Hosted by Felipe Massa, the Grossman Endowed Chair of Entrepreneurship and instructor of the Consulting Skills course, this panel is an invaluable opportunity for UVM students to gain insights into the consulting profession, ask questions, and build connections that can enhance their career prospects and internship opportunities.

Arran Joyce '15

Arran Joyce

Mr. Joyce is a Manager in the Private Equity Performance Improvement (PEPI) practice at Alvarez & Marsal, where he specializes in Sales Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP), profitability and financial transparency modeling, and operational due diligence. He has experience working across a breadth of industries such as retail, consumer goods manufacturing, professional services, and energy.

Before joining Alvarez & Marsal, Mr. Joyce spent five years at General Electric and Baker Hughes, a GE Company, where he held roles in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and in corporate development.

Mr. Joyce graduated from the University of Vermont in 2015 with majors in Accounting and Finance, complemented by minors in Mathematics and Economics.

Courtney Howard

Courtney Howard, Senior Associate Director, joined Fletcher in 2015.  Her current role is focused on strategic consulting in the pharmaceutical industry.  The typical project scope ranges from facilitating corporate strategy workshops, advising on patient support program design, conducting pipeline and in-line drug analysis, and beyond.

Prior to joining Fletcher/CSI, Ms. Howard worked as a Senior Associate at ipCapital Group, an intellectual property consulting firm.  She has experience working with clients across a wide range of industries, from small start-up companies to Fortune 500 corporations.  Ms. Howard also performed as a bench scientist in the Dermatology, Pediatric Oncology, and Pathology fields.  She holds an MBA (’09) and a BA (’03) in Biology from the University of Vermont.

Sean Leavitt '07

Sean Leavitt

Sean Leavitt is a seasoned technology executive with over 15 years of experience in technology consulting. Currently, he is a Director of Solution Architecture and a Delivery Management Executive at Microsoft, specializing in the Retail & Consumer Goods (RCG) industry in North America. Sean’s mission is to enable customers to achieve their business outcomes through cloud transformation initiatives. He leads a team of architects and consultants on some of the largest and most disruptive cloud projects in the industry. As a Delivery Management Executive, Sean manages a customer portfolio and serves as the single point of contact for senior executives, ensuring overall delivery. He has a proven track record of delivering high-quality solutions that exceed customer expectations and has received multiple awards for technical excellence and customer satisfaction. Sean holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on MIS from the University of Vermont Grossman School of Business (GSB).

Deb Mignucci '82

Deb Mignucci

Deb is a Sales Trainer and Coach at her firm, SALESconfidential, LLC, working with sales and account management teams at top-tier global media, ad tech and hospitality firms. Before leaving the corporate world, she enjoyed a successful career in media sales management in the health care and parenting space at blue-chip companies including WebMD, Time Inc., Disney and Johnson & Johnson. In addition, Deb has served on several boards, including the Consumer Healthcare Products Association (CHPA) and the Juvenile Product Manufacturers Association (JPMA), where she founded JPWOMEN (Juvenile Product Women Offering Mentoring and Education).

Deb previously was the Chair of the New York Regional Alumni Board, following several years as an active member, including serving on the career committee. She is a passionate advocate for UVM through hosting/mentoring UVM interns and job shadowers and participation in numerous activities over the years, such as Career Night networking, welcome receptions, job fairs and outreach to prospective and newly admitted students.

Deb earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from UVM in 1982 and her MBA in Marketing and International Business from the Stern School of Business at New York University in 1992. Deb currently lives in Westport, CT, with her husband, Alberto, also a 1982 UVM graduate, who is the General Manager of Aero Gear in Windsor, CT. They have two grown daughters, Melanie, who is attending Columbia Law School and Alexandra, who is in her Family Medicine residency at UCSD.
