The Center for Rural Studies has more than a storehouse full of Vermont census data. Historical, natural resource, social, demographic and other qualitative information of Vermont towns are collected here. Our goal is to share the stories of community struggles to improve local quality of life and to document the human and social capital formed within their boundaries.

Gradually data have been keyed to critical concepts, and the end products are a wealth of summarized data that could be useful to the town historian, planner, citizen and visitor alike. Completed profiles are for those towns with which we have been involved on an ongoing basis over the years. The information presented in these profiles may be outdated and comes from a variety of sources.
