Education, Diversity and Democracy: How Can We Fulfill Higher Education's Promise to Prepare Citizens for an Increasingly Diverse Democracy?

Dr. Jeffrey Milem’s interactive lecture will focus on an understanding of organizational change generally and specifically higher education’s roles in moving to concrete actions that operationalize the UVM campus in creating an engaged and accepting community that influences the excellence that diversity brings to the University. Administrators, faculty and staff are integral to enacting diverse learning environments and in fostering welcoming climates for students. Attendees will be invited to share their examples of challenges and successes in the movement to inclusive excellence.
