Workshops
Individuals and groups of instructors are invited to attend any of our scheduled workshops and to suggest future topics. Departments can request discipline-specific versions of our workshop topics or request a workshop designed on a topic of their need. These are scheduled during a mutually agreed time and can sometimes be aligned with departmental meetings. Although the Undergraduate and Graduate Writing Centers typically work with faculty to arrange workshops in their courses for students, Writing in the Disciplines can arrange student workshops on special topics that the instructor has been exploring with WID. WID can also provide workshops to a department's TA's on teaching topics that help to align their work with that of the instructor.
