UVM makes a range of institutional data available on a self-serve basis to journalists and public stakeholders through the Office of Institutional Research and Assessment:

Public Records Requests
It is UVM policy to comply promptly with requests for public records and documents, in a manner consistent with its obligations under the Vermont Public Records Act, as well as other applicable state and federal laws related to privacy and transparency.

Journalists seeking to report on UVM’s campus should contact UVM media relations staff at news@uvm.edu before arriving on campus.
Commercial or Documentary Filming
Commercial or documentary filmmakers or photographers seeking to operate on UVM’s campus must apply for a permit and will generally be charged a fee. Applications should be emailed to news@uvm.edu at least two weeks prior to your desired campus arrival. Staff will respond within 5 business days.
Parking for Journalists
News vehicles
Branded news vehicles can park for short periods in non-reserved campus spaces without getting a parking ticket.
Personal vehicles
Visitor parking is available in a variety of campus locations using the ParkMobile app. Visit the UVM Campus Map (click on “parking” and “visitor”) for a list of parking spaces.
