Stream Stewardship Symposium

Date/Time:
Thursday, July 25, 2024 - 10:00am to 1:00pm
Location:
Jay Covered Bridge park

Join fellow streamside landowners and experts from the Ausable Freshwater Center and professors and students from SUNY Plattsburgh and University of Vermont for an afternoon of demonstrations and a tour of Adirondack stream habitats at the Stream Stewardship Symposium!

We will feature a climate-ready culvert installation, a streamside tree planting site, and share information on how to become a stream steward in your own backyard. We will also learn about Stream Wise, which offers free assessments for streamside landowners in the Lake Champlain basin and rewards healthy stream stewardship. This event will include gathering at the Jay Covered Bridge park for discussions, a driving tour of nearby sites (carpooling encouraged), and then resuming back at the Covered Bridge for hearty snacks and drinks.

Please RSVP by July 11th to sbeck010 [at] plattsburgh.edu or 484-632-9860 so we have enough food for everyone!
