• Houses: Junior, senior, and transfer students who have already fulfilled/do not have an on-campus housing requirement

  • 1 Bedroom Apartment with 2 Occupants (you will share one bedroom with another UVM upper-class/transfer student)
  • 2 Bedroom Apartment
    • One bedroom will have 1 Occupant
    • One bedroom will have 2 Occupants (you will share one bedroom with another UVM upper-class/transfer student)
• Apartment layout: See above. All apartments have a bathroom, kitchen and living room for only the occupants of that apartment.
• Anticipated move-in date for new residents for Academic Year 2025-26: June 15, 2025
• Occupancy dates for new residents for Academic Year 2025-26: June 15, 2025 to May 31, 2026
  • Students who want to continue for a second year at Catamount East, will have the opportunity to remain in their apartment and renew their contract through May 31. 2026 (as long as you will be a UVM student for the 2025-2026 school year)
• All student's residing at Catamount East must adhere to University rules outlined in the Catamount East Terms and Conditions, the Code of Student Conduct, and the Hallways Handbook

• UVM will provide a mattress, bed frame, and dresser like our campus housing furnishings. All other furniture will be provided by the residents.
• Apartment amenities: Full kitchen, stove and refrigerator, washer/dryers on the 2nd floor
  • Shared laundry room with coin operated laundry machines
• All utilites included: Heat, air conditioning and internet.
• Anticipated on-site parking through the property developer, more details to come.
  • $50/month for uncovered space
  • $75/month for covered space
• Covered bike storage within the secure parking garage.
• Students can purchase a Commuter Meal Plan through UVM Dining

• Cost per student (2025-2026): $1410 per month (utilities included)
• Deposit (2025-2026): $1410
  • Deposit will be collected soon after contract completion
• Billing will be done through your housing portal via credit card or bank account and is due on the first of the month
• All Catamount East housing is a 12 month lease- no exceptions are available
  • Like all off-campus housing leases, students are responsible for paying for the entirety of the lease regardless of when they plan to move in or be away.
• Catamount East is billed monthly via the housing portal (StarRez) and not via your student account.
  • For financial aid purposes, Catamount East is considered off-campus housing. As a result, you cannot pay for Catamount East housing in your student account.
• How Financial Aid Works When Living Off-Campus
  • Your financial aid offer is based on a total cost of attendance for living off-campus (as detailed on this page). If the financial aid accepted is more than the amount owed to UVM on your student account, this will result in a credit balance which will be refunded to you. Your refund will be in one payment, so it is important you budget this amount over the semester and breaks.

1. Submit an interest form in the housing portal: Eligible students will see the Catamount East interest form in the housing portal. Please complete the interest form in the housing portal as soon as possible to request a space in Catamount East. 
   Note: If you recently paid your acceptance fee, it may take a few days for you to be able to access the portal.
2. Indicate a roommate preference (optional): If you have a preferred roommate who would also like to live in Catamount East, please provide their name on your interest form and have them complete their own interest form with your information.
3. Contract offer: If we can offer you a space in Catamount East for the 2025-2026 academic year, we will be in touch with a contract once it is available. 

• Summer 2025
  • June 1: First housing installment payment, damage deposit due, and move-in day for students returning to Catamount East
  • June 15: Move in day for students new to Catamount East
• Fall Semester 2025
  • August 25: Start of Fall semester
  • September 10: Room change requests will be honored
  • December: Start of winter break and Mid-year move out for approved residents
• Spring Semester 2026
  • January 1: New Residents; Damage deposit and first housing installment due
  • January 6: New Residents; Move in day
  • January 13: Start of Spring semester
  • January 28: Room change requests will be honored based on available vacancies
  • February 25: Accommodation requests for residents wishing to extend for an additional term due for best consideration
  • May 31: Catamount East Move out
    • *Unless contract extended  for an additional term
