Kate joined the center as Director in July 2017. Her career thus far has focused on building communities where all people thrive, health equity, and liberation for queer and trans people. Kate holds a BSW from New York University and an MPH in Sexuality & Health from Columbia University. She is interested in possibilities for radical transformation, ceramics, and reading books of all kinds.

Allie joined the Prism Center in August 2024. She holds a B.A. in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from the University of Tennessee, with a particular interest in reproductive rights. She approaches all work with an intersectional lens rooted in Reproductive Justice, and aims to provide students with the programming and resources to make empowered decisions about their gender, bodies, and sexuality during their time at UVM and beyond. Outside of work Allie loves local comedy, defending her home state of New Jersey, and Survivor!

Alex joined the Prism Center as the Community Engagement Coordinator in July 2024. Originally from Starksboro, VT and Indianapolis, IN, Alex is “A Hoosier from the Green Mountain State” who wants to make the world a better place by helping people see themselves reflected in their communities. They achieve this through inclusive & accessible programming, and creating content that reflects the full picture of the world we live in. Alex holds a B.A. in Telecommunications from Ball State University (Muncie, IN). When they’re not working, you can find Alex spending time with family and friends, writing Spoken Word Poetry, or capturing beloved moments on their camera.

Kay joined the Prism and WAGE Centers as the Office Manager in March 2023. They've lived in different parts of the East Coast, including Connecticut, New York, Maryland, and Vermont! Their work is grounded in an intersectional lens as they work to administratively support both the identity centers they are a part of, including being a thought partner to colleagues and keeping the space stocked and organized. Kay holds a B.A. in Cultural Anthropology and Creative Writing from Hamilton College (Clinton, NY). They love games of all kinds, Spooky Season, and astrology. You can always get them out of their office for a seasonal drink and good conversation!

Juneau joined the Prism Center as Graduate Assistant in August 2024. Originally from Stillwater, NY, Juneau now resides in Winooski, VT as they pursue their masters in Higher Education and Student Affairs Administration (HESA) at UVM. Juneau recently completed their undergraduate degree in Education Studies and Equity Studies at Saint Michael's College and is eager to continue their passion for advocacy and inclusive education through their work at the Prism Center and their studies at UVM. As a first gen, queer, trans, disabled, and Latine individual, Juneau hopes to make any student at UVM feel welcome and affirmed in their choice to pursue higher education. YOU BELONG HERE!
