From the lake to the lab, researchers and students at UVM engage daily in the pursuit of meaningful and impactful research, scholarship, and creative work. Celebrate that pursuit with events every day from April 21st to the 25th.

Earlier this year, the University of Vermont joined the ranks of the nation’s top-tier research institutions by achieving an R1 Research Activity Designation, cementing what the community already knew: UVM is a leader in world-class research. And now the Office of the Vice President of Research invites all students, staff, faculty, and the wider community to continue that celebration during its fourth annual Research Week.

From April 21st to the 25th, experience and celebrate a vibrant showcase of innovation, creativity, scholarship, and research across campus and disciplines. From undergraduate research and accessible Ph.D. level presentations to planetary health research slams and open houses at the Vermont Advanced Computing Center, Howe Library, and more, there are countless opportunities to learn about the groundbreaking research happening right now at UVM.

UVM Planetary Health Initiative Celebrates Earth Day

Come learn about the intriguing health patterns uncovered through UVM’s Lived Experiences Measured Using Rings Study (LEMURS), which used wearable biosensors to collect data from 600 UVM first-year students. We’ll break into small groups to discuss the study’s impactful findings, and how we can use them for the benefit of our community. The Planetary Health tradition continues: there will be donuts!
