The Larner College of Medicine ceremony celebrates the completion of medical student training with graduates receiving their doctoral hoods and diplomas as they cross the stage at the Ira Allen Chapel.

Information for Members of the Class of 2025

Body

Regalia

Regalia was purchased for the Class of 2025 by the UVM Larner Alumni Association and will be distributed in-person in front of the Medical Communications Office in the Given Courtyard (directly across from the Office of Medical Education) on the following dates and times:

  • Monday, May 12, 11:30 A.M. – 1:30 P.M.
  • Tuesday, May 13, 11:30 A.M. – 1:30 P.M.
  • Wednesday, May 14, 11:30 A.M. – 1:30 P.M.
  • Thursday, May 15, 11:30 A.M. – 1:30 P.M.

If you are unable to pick up your regalia during these times, you may have a classmate pick up. Please contact Liz Dohrman with questions.

Guest Hooders

Graduates may invite one guest hooder to assist with hooding during the graduation ceremony. Hooders must meet eligibility requirements, wear full academic regalia, and their names must be shared with Liz Dohrman by April 18. Arrival time/Location

Graduates should arrive at 2:00 P.M., using the back entrance to the Ira Allen Chapel, accessed from the Votey Parking lot. Student line-up will take place in the Billings Lecture Hall. 

Tickets

Tickets are required for all guests to attend the graduation ceremony. Each graduate is guaranteed up to six tickets, but may request additional tickets via the wait list. Wait list tickets are not guaranteed. Tickets will be requested for guests by the graduate via a link  shared via email on March 28. The deadline to request tickets is May 1. Information for Guests of the Class of 2025

Tickets

Tickets are required to attend the Larner College of Medicine Ceremony. Graduating students receive six guest tickets for the ceremony, with the opportunity to request additional tickets via a waitlist. Waitlist tickets are not guaranteed. Graduates received a link to request tickets via email in March.

All celebrations and ceremonies at the University of Vermont's 224th Commencement are physically accessible and include use of CART (Communication Access Realtime Translation) at all venues.
