We love to host UVM Clubs and Organizations that are doing work to advance gender equity at the Women and Gender Equity Center. The following are resources for your organization to use for the success of your events.

You can reserve a space at the WAGE Center for your club meetings. Simply complete the form below 3-4 weeks before your preferred meeting date.

The WAGE Center Team is excited to collaborate with you. Please share your ideas by completing the form below at least 4-6 weeks before the event.

Let the WAGE Center help you make your event a success! Share your information, flyer, etc., with us, and we'll showcase it in our newsletter, bulletin board, and social media.

Internships and Work-Study
The Women and Gender Equity Center offers internships for students seeking professional experience in any field. This program offers the opportunity to develop hands-on experience working with a team and with the WAGE Staff to facilitate information to students, faculty, and the community in general
Internships
Higher Education and Student Affairs (HESA) Administration Practicum
This practicum for graduate students in the HESA program will introduce the intern to the operation of a Women & Gender Equity Center in a institute of Higher Education. The intern will have the opportunity to work as an integral part of the Women & Gender Equity Center staff; attend meetings which include collaborating departments; and participate in the development and implementation of our programs. Attention is paid to drawing connections between theory and practice as well as between the practicum experience and the intern's assistantship and classroom experience. Additionally, the intern will take the lead role in a special project developed in collaboration with the supervisor. The practicum requires nine hours a week for one semester and earns the intern 2 credits. Students must sign up through the HESA program's practicum process.
Special Internship
Internships for undergraduate and graduate students in other departments have been developed in the past in collaboration with a variety of University departments to meet the needs of individual students. Contact your academic department to find out about its internship requirements and then contact us. If you are interested in an internship, email women@uvm.edu for more information.
Work Study
The Women and Gender Equity Center has several Work Study positions available including positions assisting in Coordinating Programming and Outreach Operations Assistant positions. If you are interested in a Work Study position, email us at wage@uvm.edu.
