BIO

Dr. Priganc is the Program Director for the UVM Doctor of Occupational Therapy program.  She has extensive academic experience, serving as a Program Director and Chair at Clarkson University prior to joining UVM.  She is an Occupational Therapist, a Certified Hand Therapist, and has received her Executive Certification on Home Modifications from the University of Southern California, Leonard Davis School of Gerontology.  Most of her clinical work has been focused on hand rehabilitation. She serves as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Hand Therapy, the premiere peer-reviewed journal in her field.  She has also been active throughout her career with the American Society of Hand Therapists. Her research interests involve hand rehabilitation topics such as orthotics, chronic pain, manual edema mobilization, health and wellness, and aging-in-place. Recently, Dr. Priganc has been accepted as a Distinguished Fellow of the National Academies of Practice.  She also received the 2024 Outstanding Occupational Therapist Award through the Vermont Occupational Therapy Association.
