BIO

Before joining the Department of Education, Patrick worked for eight years at the Vermont Agency of Education, the last four of which he was the Director of Education Quality managing educator licensure and education preparation approval. His career in education includes a decade teaching upper elementary students, graduate work considering routes to teaching for non-traditional entrants to the profession, and teaching a variety of adjunct course at UVM.

Patrick has lived in the south end of Burlington for nearly 15 years with his wife Juliet Halladay and their three kids who, much to his dismay, spend decreasing amounts of time at home. His interests include canoeing, hiking, cross country skiing, soccer, good books, and trivia games.
