Senior Lecturer Jackie Horton joined the Computer Science Faculty in 1998 with 10 years of industry experience applying her Electrical Engineering and Computer Science degrees.
Jackie primarily teaches courses in the introductory programming sequence. In 2003 she developed a new course, "Introduction to Programming", targeted at novice programmers, and in the fall of 2008 she offered two new courses: "Hands-On Robotics" and "Robots Among Us."
In addition to teaching, Jackie's service activities include advising students and organizing outreach. She has a special interest in the issue of Women in Computing.
