Steve Phelps was appointed President of NASCAR in 2018 and currently oversees all operations, competition and commercial, for the auto racing sanctioning body, including the management of 15 racetrack facilities and the International Motor Sports Association (IMSA) sports car series. In his 16 years at NASCAR, Phelps also served in the roles of Chief Operating Officer and Chief Marketing Officer. Previously, he worked for Wasserman Media Group and spent 14 years in corporate marketing at the NFL. Phelps has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Vermont and an MBA from Boston College.
