27/29 Pine Street

This Queen Anne Colonial Revival style home is covered in red brick, with a stone foundation.  There are two huge dormer windows that occupy the half story, with middle, smaller dormer window also present.  The roof is clad in slate, and the building has a six by four bay.  This building is two and a half stories and has a hipped roof, with two separate entrances located in the front façade.

This home was built by Nelson Bacon, and bought by Alphonso and Ant. Izzo, who lived at 86 Cherry Lane.  This home was built as a rental property, which meant that a large number of renters were only at the homes temporarily.  In 1886, Arthur A Martin lived at 27 Pine and made his living as a bookkeeper in Burlington. [19]   By 1901, Justine N. Chamberlin lived at 27 Pine Street, with no occupation noted. [20]   In 1906, Dennis E. Harran lived at 27 Pine Street and worked as a plumber at 118 College Street.  John ODonahue lived at 29 Pine Street and worked with plumbing, steam and gas fitting at 90 St. Paul Street. [21]
