Why so much DNA?
The human geonome - and most mammalian genomes are far larger than they have to be:
300x larger than Brewer’s Yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae
30x larger than Vinegar Eel (Caenorhabditis elegans)
20x larger than Fruit Fly (Drosophila melanogaster)
