Building Wider Doors for Inclusive Excellence: Disability in Our Classrooms, Campus, and Community

This interactive panel presentation and discussion will introduce participants to disability-related requirements, resources, and responsibilities in and around our classrooms, campus, and community. Following a panel presentation from experts in our UVM community, participants will choose a specific topic and join a group dialogue based on their interests. Topics include identifying challenges and opportunities related to physical accessibility, implicit bias among faculty and staff, universal design for learning, and accommodations in the classroom and community settings. The session will conclude with identification of supports and actions needed to promote inclusivity and excellence for persons with disabilities.
