Identity: Belonging, Undocumented and American

He is the founder and chief executive officer of Define American, the nation's leading nonprofit media organization that fights injustice and anti-immigrant hate through the power of storytelling. Vargas is a firm believer that to change the politics of immigration and citizenship, we must change the way we portray undocumented people and their roles in society.
