The new owners, Global Partners LP, will continue to wholesale
gasonline and diesel fuel from the site, and also are also planning to
wholesale biofuel blends. The facility is Burlington's 'tank farm' on

Plug in Hybrid Electric Vehicle prototype study: Toyota Toyota
is collaborating with California universities and government agencies
to evaluate what impact the widespread use of Plug in Hybrid Electric
Vehicles (PHEV) would have on air quality and electricity demand in
California. Vermont has a home-grown PHEV research effort involving
hybrids converted to PHEV. The California effort, because of Toyota's
involvement, is testing pre-commercial PHEV developed by an automaker.

Senate bill may force earlier EPA ruling A
U.S. Senate panel passed a bill that would force the Environmental
Protection Agency (EPA) to rule by Sept. 30 on whether it would allow
California to regulate vehicle emissions. The current timeline set by
the EPA is to issue the decision in December. This would set precedence
for 12 other states, including Vermont, to be granted a similar waiver
to adopt emission rules modeled after California's. The full Senate,
House, and the president still need to approve the bill. [Source: CNN Money]
