10 Gallon Planted Killie
Tank
This tank is inhabited by..
- infinite numbers of snails (native to Lake Champlain)
- 2 female Aphyosemion bivitattum on an unknown variety (the male
died mysteriously and I haven't found a new male)
- 2 or so Otocinclus
- a pregnant guppy and her forever flirting mate
- a cory of unknown classification
- a Botia Lohachata, happily feasting on the infinite supply of snails
- a huge ball of java moss, loosely affiliated with a piece of wood
- a floating population of small duckweed and salvinia
- a bunch of Hygrophila polysperma, the green variety and the
"sunset" variety
This tank has been undernourished in the aesthetics and attention
departments, and is stable but boring to look at. I usually use it as a
quarantine tank for new fish, and I'm hoping to find a mate for my two
(seemingly happy) killifish. This is one of our more boring tanks.
The most interesting thing about it is that it has a sand substrate.
Well, it's interesting for a few minutes, anyway. :-)
