What still stands from between 1869 and 1877 in Burlington, Vermont?

Archibald Street

Archibald Street, running east-west from North Winooski Avenue to Intervale Avenue, showed slow development.  In 1869, only two structures existed, and in the 1870s, only the east half of the north side of the street had new development.1  Archibald experienced many of  the same patterns as Bright Street.  The areas today remain concentrated with a Jewish population, and a prominent National Register synagogue a block down on Archibald reflects the trends.  The houses on both streets have been altered to reflect the need for more space or changes between residential to mixed-use buildings.
