This house is thought to have been constructed in 1859.(1) In 1865 the resident of this home was Matthew Collins. Collins was an employee of the Central Vermont Railroad. Collins Remained in the house until the 1890's. In later years Collins left the railroad and worked as a "truckman." Begining in 1902 the home is listed as a duplex and began an era of short-term occupants.(2)
