Many faculty see the World Wide Web as the technology that finally begins to fulfill some of the promises of computing: pervasive, engaging, generalizable, easy. However, given current teaching and research burdens it is not always easy to make time to explore and learn how the Web works, how it can be used in a specific class, and how it can benefit students.
This proposal suggests a one week, intensive practicum focusing on integrating Internet technologies into specific existing or proposed courses. As follow-up to the practicum, CIT staff would work as ongoing partners with practicum participants and their students.
