Read 3-4 books
*For the historical assignment.* 5 or more pages. Due Saturday June
21. recommend doing it by June 15.
*Plan A*
If academia hasn't entirely destroyed your curiosity, please explore a question
that came up for you during the first 3 days about an issue or NGO. Several
questions were mentioned in class, such as are there international versions
of these groups, and what are they doing in other countries? What NGOs were
involved in the DDT controversy? What NGOs were involved in Air pollution issues.
there were many others. I don't know all the answers, so please look into one
of these questions that came up for you, with focus on NGOs.
*Plan B*
We discussed using the internship day format also. this is ok, but I prefer
plan "A".
The idea of researching background issue for internship day fits into either
plan. ie: ZPG and shadow of population group.
*Internship/shadowing day.* Let's stick to the agreed upon
format for oral and written report:
15-20 minute oral report for June 21
Written report due June 29th. 5 or more pages.
