Internship Summary: Eco-Solutions

During my time with Eco-Solutions this semester I worked on two main projects. The first project was putting together PowerPoint presentations that highlighted projects that Eco-Solutions had previously completed. These PowerPoint presentations gave a brief summary of the project along with pictures of the different stages of the construction process from beginning to end.  These PowerPoint presentations also had a fact sheet that went along with the presentation that I created. An example of one of the projects I created the presentations for was a stormwater system installation in Washington D.C. last year.

The second project that I worked on was fixing a solar hot water system that supplied radiant heat for Eco-SolutionsŐ office space. The PEX tubing had previously been installed in the concrete floor of the office building and eventually froze. We installed new PEX tubing with radiant heat shields on the ceiling and made sure that this time there was glycol in the system. The pictures below allow for a better understanding of what we did. The majority of my hours were put towards this project.

Dave Whitney, the founder and CEO, is a professional who is eager to help UVM students as best he can. He is a UVM graduate from the engineering program and is highly educated in his field. I would easily recommend working with Dave and Eco-Solutions.
