Scope of Work

For my internship I will be working with AJ Rossman at Vermont Green Offices. The ultimate task I will be completing is the design and installation of a solar awning that blocks summer sunlight from entering the building but allows in winter sunlight and maximizes electricity production. Leading up to that I am using Google Sketchup to create a model of the building. I am teaching myself how to use Google Sketchup by redesigning an interior wall that is host to 3 inverters and a monitor. In addition to the design aspects, I am doing odd jobs such as creating a spreadsheet that records past electricity usage of three different locations from 2006 to the present. The majority of my time will be spent designing and installing the awning.
