For my internship I’m going to be working with Allan Baer helping to first layout and write up a newsletter for the Green Energy Journal. This newsletter outlines SolarQuest’s and thus Allan’s mission for the installment of the Renewable Nations Institute at Dana College in Nebraska. This institute will work like a Federal work college in which students are involved in paid renewable internships that blend with their curriculum. Allan is developing Campus Assessment Centers that would provide paid internships to undergraduates and gradates affiliated with the Renewable Nations Institute. CACs are based on Industry Assessment Centers but on a smaller scale. My first task so far has been to research the cause and learn all of the background information. So far I have helped to make advertisements for Allan to be put up on Google. I have also started on the writing and designing of two pages of the newsletter set aside for the CACs. I and two other interns will then help to distribute the finished journal.
