Hebrew 52 - Lesson 57

Lesson 56 introduces the use of the root Hay Yod Hay to express possession and commitment in future tense("there will be to me").

Future tense rules to express a thought about existence of an event in the future tense, are similar to present and past tense rules (see lesson 18, ("Yesh Li") lesson 53 ). ("HaYah Li").

One thing to pay attention to is avoiding double negative (don't use Lo and Ein). Ein should not be used in future tense. To translate there will not........, people should say "Lo YeeHeYeh Li".

At this point the examples are still contained to a limited number; using third person singular and plural forms only. After getting used to the idea of having certain letters as verbs prefix to indicate future tense, the number of examples will expend to include the whole list of Hebrew pronouns
