Final Hebr 1

Hebrew 1 -Sample final exam:

Following, there is translation of text that we cover in the class towards the end of Hebrew 1. People who can express thoughts in Hebrew, thoughts such as those in the following excerpts of text will achieve the objective of the course as I envision them

Excerpt from story one: I come from Holland.
Now I live in a kibbutz near Tveriah.
This is a nice Kibbutz, not big and not small.
I work in the banana orchard with the Kibbutz members.
I get up at 6 in the morning, eat a roll, drink coffee and go to work.
I like the Kibbutz members, they are nice people. We talk about politics
and life in the Kibbutz. There is an Ulpan in the Kibbutz. Over there we
learn Hebrew and read newspapers in light (plain) Hebrew. On Saturday we
hike near the Kibbutz. There are pretty places in the Galilee. Life in the
Kibbutz is interesting but I don't know where I want to live.

Excerpt from story two:
In the Galilee there is a small and a special Kibbutz.
This is not a Kibbutz like all the other Kibbutz's.
The people at this Kibbutz do not want to live in the city.
They look for quietness.
They want to live in a small place with good friends.

To the people in this Kibbutz there is a special ideology.
They don't work with machines.
They do all the work by hand.
In the houses there is no TV.
In the evening they talk about life and the environment.

The people at "Harduf" love meeting new people.
Many people come over there and ask about life at that kibbutz.
At Harduf there is a restaurant and also a special store.
