If you have trouble remembering a parent’s birthday or your own wedding anniversary, let Outlook do it for you. Open the contact page for your mother or wife and select the Details tab. Here you’ll find Birthday and Anniversary boxes. Fill them in using the drop-down calendar, and they will be automatically added to your Calendar as a series recurring yearly. To add an alarm, just edit the series as you would any other appointment.
