Look Up Information Easily

Office 2003 adds an optional Research Pane that you can use in Outlook to easily look up words and historical data or translate languages on the fly. The Research Pane is only available when you’re composing or replying to a message and is accessible via Tools, Research. A drop-down box lets you choose what sources to search (including dictionary, thesaurus, encyclopedia, news, and corporate reference works). Though the default is to search All Reference Books, you may have to customize your search appropriately; this feature tends to limit searches to the dictionary at first.
