If you are using Microsoft Exchange, you can set Outlook to work offline and synchronize later with the server to send and receive messages. To set up offline access, click Tools, then Send/Receive, Send/Receive Settings and finally Define Send/Receive Groups. Click your Exchange account and press Edit. Under Accounts, click the account again, select Account Options, and choose Make Folder Home Pages Available Offline.
