Biography

R. Stanton Dodge

Elected to the Board by the self-perpetuating board in 2024. Term expires March 2030. Raised in Marblehead, MA. Educated at UVM, BS, Business Administration (Accounting), 1991; and Suffolk University Law School, JD, Magna Cum Laude, 1995. Stanton is currently Chief Legal Officer at DraftKings. Prior to joining DraftKings, he was Executive Vice President and General Counsel of DISH Network. Prior to DISH, Stanton served as law clerk to the Honorable Jose D.L. Marquez of the Colorado Court of Appeals. He was the 2017 Dean’s Speaker at the UVM Grossman School of Business. Stanton is actively involved in many business, community and philanthropic causes. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Western Stock Show Association, the immediate-past Chairman of the Board of Directors of Colorado Concern, a member of the Board of Directors of National Jewish Health, and an Ambassador for the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Team. Stanton recently served on Denver Mayor Mike Johnston’s Transition Team as Co-Chair of the City Attorney Selection Committee, and on the Supreme Court Nominating Commission for the State of Colorado. He has received many accolades for his accomplishments in the legal field, including receiving the University of Colorado Law School "Adopted Alumnus" Award, recognizing individuals who have made exceptional contributions to the law school (2015); and being a two-time winner of the Denver Business Journal “Chief Legal Officer of the Year” Award (2020 and 2015). Stanton and his wife, Lindsey, have three children and live in Castle Rock, Colorado.
