Steven is from Brookline, Massachusetts. He earned a B.A in Psychology from the University of Colorado at Boulder before teaching middle school science in Newton, Massachusetts for several years. He currently is a Ph.D. Student in Chemistry at the University of Vermont, researching novel and efficient methods of phosphorous-element bond formation. Steven enjoys hiking with his growing family and dog Nova. After graduation, he hopes to continue to pursue new and important research opportunities in a variety of fields of chemistry including aerospace applications, sustainable energy, earth abundant catalysis, pharmaceutically active molecules, and more
