Katie Ekstrom Grenon Receives Graduate Student Award

Katie Ekstrom Grenon, a graduate research assistant for the SOCKS Health Team, received an honor from the University of Vermont (UVM) Graduate College on April 27, 2026, when she was named a recipient of the Graduate Teaching Assistant of the Year in Lecture Instruction Award. She is one of three total recipients of a Graduate Teach Assistant of the Year award and one of eleven total graduate students to receive recognition in the UVM Graduate College Student Awards for the 2025-2026 academic year.
 
The UVM Graduate College Graduate Student Awards are presented yearly, recognizing outstanding research and instruction by students pursuing graduate education across the university. The Graduate Teaching Assistant of the Year Award goes to individuals who have demonstrated excellence and creativity in their teaching and a commitment to student learning.
