Vermont EPSCoR's Center for Workforce and Professional Education (CWPE) visited the state capital in Montpelier on March 24, 2026 to share the latest news about SOCKS outreach efforts across Vermont in education, workforce development, and private sector initiatives. Education Outreach Coordinator Maggie Jones, SOCKS Graduate Research Assistant (GRA) Cailin Gramling, and Vermont Complex Systems Institute GRA Calla Beauregard set up posters and informational materials in the State House Card Room, for all visitors to learn more about.

The SOCKS team shared efforts in support of K–12 education, artificial intelligence (AI) in the workforce, workforce development programs, and SOCKS education-focused initiatives such as the Computer Science Teacher Academy.

The annual visit to the State House provides an outreach opportunity to share how EPSCoR driven scientific research is developing in Vermont and offers a chance for the GRAs to share their ongoing research and reach a broad audience. Vermont EPSCoR looks forward to the next visit in 2027!
