SOCKS Capacity and Social Team member Brennan Dell, PhD presented his research on October 22, 2025 as part of the SOCKS Research Meeting Series. Dr. Dell's presentation, "Fine-Grained Error Analysis in Machine Translation," detailed his research prior to joining the SOCKS team and how it has continued since becoming part of the project.

Dr. Dell joined the SOCKS team in September 2025. He received his PhD in Linguistics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and is now an Assistant Professor of Linguistics at the University of Vermont.

The SOCKS Research Meeting Series provides an opportunity for cross-team collaboration as members present their research to their peers. This provides an opportunity for multidisciplinary collaboration and networking.
