Christopher Danforth University Scholar Lecture

SOCKS Co-PI, Christopher Danforth, PhD, was one of two UVM University Scholar awardees for the 2024-2025 academic year. His University Scholar’s lecture focused on "Computational Social Science at UVM: The Science of Online Corpora, Knowledge, and Stories (SOCKS) Project & Lived Experiences Measured Using Rings Study (LEMURS)" on May 5, 2025 at the UVM Waterman Memorial Lounge.

The University Scholar’s Awards recognize distinguished faculty members from UVM for sustained excellence in Social Sciences, Humanities, and the Creative Arts, or in Basic and Applied Sciences. Dr. Danforth joins Joshua Bongard, PhD, from the Department of Computer Science, as one of the awardees for this academic year.

Dr. Danforth was also recognized with the UVM the Kroepsch-Maurice Excellence in Teaching Award in 2022.
