The University of Vermont (UVM) held its annual Research Week from April 21-25, 2025, showcasing the many research projects going on at the institution. SOCKS researchers featured prominently in several events, including talks, tours, and poster presentations.
On Tuesday, April 22nd, the Vermont Advanced Computing Center (VACC) presented "Introduction to High-Performance Computing and Large Language Models." SOCKS presenters during this workshop included Research Computing Facilitators Shelly Johnson, MS and Terry Barrett, MS. That day closed with an open house at the VACC where guests could see the high-performance computer center for themselves.
Wednesday, April 23rd brought more SOCKS presenters at the Student Research Conference.
