Vermont EPSCoR held an online Alan Alda Communicating Science Workshop on January 9, 2025. The workshop, facilitated by Carla Jablonski from the Alan Alda Center for Communicating Science, provided valuable training methods for Vermont scientists to consider how best to use narrative when presenting research to different audiences. The interactive, three-hour online workshop gave participants a chance to work in both small and large groups to refine their narrative style and engage with a wide range of audiences about their scientific careers.
Offered annually as part of the SOCKS project's professional development training, this workshop provides scientists with an opportunity to sharpen their communication skills while also learning new ways to engage others with their research.
